Welcome to Wok Masters - Australia's hottest team building program.
You’ve marveled at the speed, colours, smells and atmosphere created in Asian kitchens. Now it’s time to take that atmosphere and experience into your own hands and compete with your team for the ultimate corporate cooking prize.Bring your team together to create three great meals, then compete head to head with your rival teams by serving your team’s best dishes to the Wok Master judges who will crown the ultimate company cooking prize!
Round one has individuals creating a traditional Vietnamese dish and is judged on solo performance. This uniquely Asian entrée is easy peasy to create and delicious and refreshing to eat. But make no mistake, how you perform as an individual can have significant benefits as you join your team mates for rounds two and three.
In the next two rounds the woks come to life as you create team noodle and curry dishes, preparing raw ingredients, combining flavours and textures to create your culinary masterpiece.
Twists and turns test teamwork, planning and creativity as teams trade ingredients from the pantry, deal with changing cooking deadlines, manage their Gordon Ramsay style swearing and even swap team mates in an effort to use their resources as wisely as possible to make the perfect dish.
Cooking and cutting demonstrations, recipe books and even instructions on how to use chop sticks make this event as practical as it is fun.
Team Building Outcomes:
We can facilitate the event so that your key conference or workshop messages are incorporated into the program. Team cooking is a fantastic metaphor for teamwork and includes:
Leadership, and decision making – under pressure and with many roles to deal with
Shared vision – clarity over what you are creating
Communication – is everything in a busy kitchen
Planning and strategy – everyone needs to be on board – there are no second chances to impress the Wok Master judges
Diversity – of strengths, tastes and preferences
Change Management – dealing with different time frames, recipes and changes to the rules of the challenge will test your teams’ ability to respond and adapt.
How your teams work in the Wok Masters kitchen can be reflective of how they work in the office. Our skilled facilitators can draw out the parallels and provide a reflective learning experience thatsupports developmental goals.
